Mettler Silk Finish Cotton Thread in neutral color to blend with fabrics
Sharp sewing scissors
Flower head pins
Omnigrid or Creative Grids 24” rotary cutting ruler, 4” to 8 ½” wide
Olfa 45mm Rotary cutter
Viking grey seam ripper
Viking green bobbin or $1 to rent
45” wide cotton fabrics:
Large print focus fabric for blocks: Purchase enough yardage to have
4 complete pattern repeats to make a twin size (65” X 72”) quilt.
Narrow Block Border fabric: 1 yard
Inner Border Fabric: approx. 1/3 yard
Outer Border Fabric: (should be the same as focus print for the
blocks):
approx. 2 yards for 8” border
Sashing Fabric: 1 yard
Setting Stones Fabric: ¼ yard
Binding Fabric (may be the same as Narrow Block Border): ½ yard
Backing Fabric: 2 ¼ yard if wide backing fabric or 4 ½ yards of 44”
wide neutral fabric
Batting: Twin size batt ( I find Hobbs Heirloom cotton batt easiest
to quilt)
